Terms of Service
Effective August 23, 2026 · Last updated August 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Dresser, available at thedresser.net, operated by Tailored Mone LLC d/b/a The Dresser(“The Dresser,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using The Dresser, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a paid subscription. You must be at least 16 years old to use The Dresser at all, or 13 where local law permits and a parent or guardian consents. By using The Dresser you confirm that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. The service
The Dresser is a digital wardrobe application. It lets you catalogue the clothing you own, record what you wear and when, and see analytics derived from that record — including cost-per-wear, wardrobe value, wear frequency, and Intelligent Gaps, which identifies categories your wardrobe may be missing.
Features may change, be added, or be removed as the service develops. We will not remove a feature you are actively paying for without notice. The Dresser is an early-stage product operated by a small team: we describe what it does today, and do not promise features that do not yet exist.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity occurring through it. Notify us at hello@thedresser.net if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation. You agree to provide accurate information and not to use The Dresser for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorised purposes.
4. Free and Pro plans
Free supports a closet of up to 20 items, with limits on bulk uploads and on how many items may be created per day. Pro removes the closet size limit and unlocks Intelligent Gaps and the Wishlist. Current limits are shown in the application and may be adjusted; we will give notice before reducing a limit in a way that affects you.
Pro costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year, unless a different price is displayed at the time of purchase. Prices exclude tax, which is calculated and shown at checkout.
We may change plan features or pricing. A price change affecting an existing subscription takes effect at your next renewal, we will give you notice as required by applicable law and no less than 30 days in advance, and you may cancel before that renewal if you do not accept it. Price changes never retroactively alter charges already paid.
5. Billing and payment
The Dresser is the merchant of record for subscriptions purchased through the service. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a subscription you authorise us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the subscription price, applicable taxes, and any other charges disclosed at checkout. You are responsible for keeping your billing and payment information current.
6. Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically. A monthly subscription renews every month and an annual subscription renews every 12 months, on the anniversary of your purchase. Each renewal charges your payment method the then-current price for your plan — $12.99 monthly or $129 annually. Renewals continue until you cancel; there is no fixed end date.
You may cancel at any time, online and without contacting us, from Settings → Billing, which opens your subscription management page. Cancellation takes no more than a few clicks and never requires a phone call or an email. Your renewal date and current plan are shown on that same page.
For annual subscriptions we send a reminder by email before each renewal.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again over the following days and will email you to let you know.
You keep Pro access for 14 days from the first failed payment. If payment has not succeeded by the end of that period, your account returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — see What happens on downgrade below. You can restore Pro at any time by updating your payment method.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You keep Pro features until that period ends and are not charged again.
Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or your wardrobe data. To delete those, use the account deletion control in Settings.
9. What happens on downgrade
This is a commitment, not a courtesy. When your account moves from Pro to Free — whether you cancelled, or a payment failed — nothing you have created is hidden or deleted. Even if your closet is larger than the Free plan’s 20-item limit:
- Every item stays visible.
- Every item stays editable.
- Every item stays deletable.
- Wear logging continues to work on every item.
- Your journal, statistics, and wishlist remain fully readable.
The only thing the Free plan refuses is creating new items while you are over the limit. Features exclusive to Pro, such as Intelligent Gaps, become unavailable until you subscribe again.
10. Refunds
Subscription payments are non-refundable once a billing period has begun, except where applicable law requires otherwise or where these Terms say otherwise. If you were charged in error, experienced a billing problem, or have exceptional circumstances, contact hello@thedresser.net. We review requests individually.
Nothing here limits refund, cancellation, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
11. Your content
You retain ownership of the images, descriptions, preferences, journal entries, and other content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and display that content solely in order to operate and secure the service and provide its features to you. This licence exists so we can run the product; it grants us nothing beyond that.
To be explicit about the limits: we do not use your content to train machine learning models, we do not use it for marketing or advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers described in our Privacy Policy. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject only to residual copies in backups.
You confirm you have the rights necessary to upload the content you submit.
12. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback about The Dresser, we may use them without obligation or compensation to you. This applies to product ideas only, and never to your wardrobe content.
13. Acceptable use
You may not misuse The Dresser. In particular, you may not interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorised access to any account or system, reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits, use automated systems to circumvent usage limits, resell or redistribute the service, or use it in violation of applicable law. We apply rate limits and automated abuse detection to keep the service working for everyone.
14. Intellectual property
The Dresser — its software, interface, design, branding, and original content — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms transfer no ownership to you. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
15. Third-party services
The Dresser depends on third-party services, including Google (Firebase), Vercel, Stripe, Resend, and Open-Meteo. Their availability is outside our control, and interruptions to them may interrupt The Dresser. Your use of Stripe’s payment services is additionally subject to Stripe’s own terms.
16. Availability and changes
We work to keep The Dresser available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict parts of the service where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or product development. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export or delete your data.
17. Disclaimer
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DRESSER IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Analytics, cost-per-wear figures, Intelligent Gaps, and other outputs are derived from the information you enter and are provided for personal wardrobe planning. They are not professional, financial, or other specialised advice, and they may be inaccurate or incomplete. You remain responsible for decisions you make based on them.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
18. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $50. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
19. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or content you upload that infringes another person’s rights. This does not apply where the claim arises from our own acts or omissions.
20. Termination
You may stop using The Dresser at any time, and may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access where reasonably necessary because of a material breach of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive activity, a security risk, or a legal requirement. Except where immediate action is necessary, we will give you notice and, where the breach can be remedied, an opportunity to remedy it.
If we terminate your account other than for fraud or abuse, we will give you at least 30 days to export or delete your data, and refund the unused portion of any prepaid subscription period.
Sections 11 (as to residual backups), 14, 17, 18, 19, and 21 survive termination.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia for any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or UK, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there.
22. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding The Dresser.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the unenforceable provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- Notices. We may contact you at the email address on your account or through the application. You may contact us at hello@thedresser.net.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give notice by email or in the application at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel before then if you do not accept it. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where law permits.
