Privacy Policy
Effective August 23, 2026 · Last updated August 23, 2026
The Dresser is a wardrobe application operated by Tailored Mone LLC d/b/a The Dresser(“The Dresser,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we collect, use, process, and protect information when you use it.
By using The Dresser, you acknowledge the practices described here.
Who we are
The data controller for the information described in this policy is Tailored Mone LLC d/b/a The Dresser, 8735 Dunwoody Place, Ste R, Atlanta, GA 30350, USA, hello@thedresser.net.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, account identifier, and authentication records.
- Wardrobe information — clothing items and their images, brands, categories, purchase price and date, wear history, and any other details you choose to add.
- Journal information — outfit entries, the garments worn, notes, tags, confidence ratings, and the date each entry records.
- Location, at low precision — if you set a home location for weather, we store the city you selected and its approximate coordinates. See Weather below.
- Subscription information — your status, plan, billing interval, and related transaction identifiers.
- Usage and technical information — browser and device information, interactions with the application, and error information.
We do not ask for, and you should not provide, sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for using The Dresser.
Wardrobe data and images
We process the wardrobe information and images you provide to deliver the core features: cost-per-wear and other analytics, recording what you wear and when, identifying patterns, and powering Intelligent Gaps. Your data is associated with your account so your closet stays available across sessions.
We remove EXIF metadata from every photograph you upload. Photographs taken on a phone commonly embed the GPS coordinates of where they were taken. Our upload process reads the orientation tag so your images appear the right way up, then discards the entire EXIF block — including any location — before the image is stored. We never receive or retain the location where a photograph was taken.
Images are stored under a path scoped to your account and served over signed, expiring URLs.
Service providers
We use the following third parties to operate The Dresser. Each processes information only as necessary to provide its service to us.
Google (Firebase)
Account and authentication information, wardrobe data, journal entries, images, and application data — database, authentication, file storage, and infrastructure.
Vercel
Requests to the application, and technical and log information — application hosting and delivery.
Stripe
Payment card and billing information, transaction and fraud-prevention data — subscription payments.
Resend
Your email address and the content of the message — transactional email, such as a notice that a subscription payment failed.
Open-Meteo
An approximate location only — weather forecasts and historical conditions. See Weather below.
Google Analytics for Firebase
Device and browser information, feature interactions, and timestamps — understanding how the application is used and diagnosing errors.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Payments and Stripe
Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe, which collects and processes payment card information, billing information, transaction details, and fraud-prevention data.
The Dresser never receives or stores your full payment card number or security code. We retain only what is needed to manage your subscription: a Stripe customer identifier, your status and plan, billing interval, and transaction status.
Stripe processes payment information as an independent controller in accordance with its own privacy practices.
Weather
If you set a home location in Settings, we retrieve forecasts and historical conditions from Open-Meteo, a third-party weather service, and record the conditions against journal entries you create.
Coordinates are deliberately coarsened before they leave our systems. We round latitude and longitude to one decimal place — an area roughly 11 kilometres across — so the location sent identifies a general area rather than an address. This is applied at the point the request is made, so a precise coordinate cannot reach the provider even if one were stored.
Open-Meteo receives this approximate coordinate and, when you search for a city, the text of that search. It receives no account identifier, no wardrobe information, and nothing else about you. The weather feature is optional — if you do not set a home location, no location information is sent to any third party.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to operate the application: keeping you signed in, protecting the session against forgery, remembering preferences, and staging your uploads locally when your connection drops.
Analytics
We collect analytics and diagnostic information to understand how The Dresser is used, improve features, measure performance, identify errors, and maintain security. This is provided by Google Analytics for Firebase, and may include device and browser information, which features you open, general interaction information, timestamps, and performance data.
We do not use your wardrobe images or wardrobe contents for advertising, and we do not enable advertising features or ads personalisation in our analytics configuration.

Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These include encrypted connections, server-side access rules that scope every read and write to your own account, and administrative access limited to the operator of the service and logged when used.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under laws including the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do neither; and to receive equal service and pricing when you exercise these rights.
You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from Settings. You do not need to contact us or wait for us to act.
To exercise any other right, contact hello@thedresser.net. We may need to verify your identity first. We respond within one month under the GDPR and within 45 days under the CCPA, and will tell you if we need longer.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EEA it is the authority for your country of residence.
International users
The Dresser and its service providers process information in the United States and in other countries where those providers operate. Where information is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on the transfer mechanisms offered by our providers, including Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
Children’s privacy
The Dresser is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, or under 13 where local law permits a lower age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child below the applicable age, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as The Dresser evolves or as legal, technical, or business requirements change. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and provide notice within the application or by email where required by applicable law.
